844 Ogden St

Betty Ann Apartments

Printer-friendly version

The two-story brick apartment house at 844 Ogden Street was built in 1928 at an estimated cost of $50,000 according to permit number 1900. The applicants for the permit were Finn & Minard, a construction firm owned by Harold Finn and partner Basil W. Minard. Advertisements in the Denver Post show that the newly-furnished Betty Ann Apartments, as they were originally called, were ready for renters as early as April 1929.  Finn and Minard are noted to have constructed several apartment buildings and residences in the 1920s, including a very similar building, the Annette Apartments at 1324 Ogden, which was built the same year as the Betty Ann.
